Using your Bank Statements

If you have retained copies of your bank statements, these will provide the charge information you require.

The charges you are able to claim are as follows:

1) CHG - Exceeding Overdraft

2) CHG - Returned Item Fee

You cannot claim for any normal monthly account fees, which are likely to be decribed as...

    FEE - Account Charge

The allowable charges will need to be entered into the simple spreadsheet you can download.

You may also include on the spreadsheet, details of any interest the bank have charged to your account, as the spreadsheet will calculate how much of that interest was actually based on the charges they levied.

A link to our spreadsheet, is in the new menu on the right hand side.
