Have you been mis-sold Payment Protection Insurance?
For many people considering taking out a loan, payment protection insurance can provide valuable cover if you are away from work due to illness, as the insurance should cover the repayments on your loan during that time.
However, many others have found themselves easy prey for financial institutions selling such policies where they are of dubious benefit, poor value for money, or with penalty charges attached in the event of early settlement.
The Financial Ombudsman Service are currently handling 1000's of complaints against the mis-selling of PPI and it is thought that many 1000's more are in the process of making complaints.
Naturally, consumers are at their most vulnerable whilst applying for a loan and in some cases consumers are also claiming they were not even aware the insurance was being added to their loan, in other cases it was found that the insurance premium was added to the loan up front, resulting in substantial interest amounts being added to the payment protection insurance premium.
Were you mis-sold payment protection insurance?
Were you told the premium payable for the PPI?
Were you sold PPI, whilst you were unemployed?
Was the payment protection insurance premium added as a lump sum to your loan?
